To create a drop-down list in Excel, follow these steps:

  1. Select the cell or range of cells where you want to create the drop-down list.
  2. Click on the Data tab in the ribbon.
  3. Click on the Data Validation button in the Data Tools group.
  4. In the Data Validation dialog box, select “List” from the “Allow” drop-down list.
  5. In the “Source” field, type in the items you want to appear in the drop-down list, separated by commas.
  6. Optionally, you can choose to include a prompt message and an error alert in the Data Validation dialog box.
  7. Click on the OK button to create the drop-down list.

That’s it! Now when you click on the cell or range of cells, you should see a drop-down arrow. Click on the arrow to display the list of items you entered in the Source field.
