To freeze rows in Excel, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Excel spreadsheet that you want to work with.
  2. Select the row below the row(s) that you want to freeze. For example, if you want to freeze the first two rows, select the third row.
  3. Click on the “View” tab in the ribbon at the top of the Excel window.
  4. Click on the “Freeze Panes” button in the “Window” group.
  5. Select “Freeze Panes” from the dropdown menu. This will freeze the rows above the selected row(s).

Alternatively, you can also select “Freeze Top Row” from the dropdown menu if you only want to freeze the top row.

That’s it! The rows above the selected row(s) will now be frozen and will remain visible as you scroll through the rest of the spreadsheet. If you want to unfreeze the rows, simply click on the “Freeze Panes” button again and select “Unfreeze Panes” from the dropdown menu.
